Information about the Print
For
this impression, printed in 2015, a turps wash
of brown-grey ink was (temporarily – specifically
for this impression) painted over the existing
intaglio gridded areas of the plate, in order
to strengthen the shadows in the finished print.
After this first stage of printing the plate
was cleaned, re-inked in raw umber and printed
a second time, over the brown-grey impression,
while the paper was still damp. |
