Signed in pencil. Edition of only 19 impressions. On cream wove paper. A fine impression of this rare large plate, with rich tonal contrasts. Generally in very good condition. The slightest of cockling and other small related defects. Time-stained on the verso.

Additional Information about the Print

A viewpoint chosen for the drama of the light on the filigree of the façade and the contrasting depth of shadow inside the arcades. The Porta della Carta only glimpsed round the corner of the protruding colonnades.
