Exhibited at the 1947 Sussex Artists exhibition at the Brighton Art Gallery.
In his Autobiography Blaker wrote
“I etched … in situ, … the Brighton Fish Market in the early morning, with the light glinting on the cobbles as they were hosed down, and the barrows of fish with the pier and boats just visible in the mist. …
“I had seen this market subject many times as I walked to the Art School along the sea front of a morning.
“Together with the Railway Yards, [see next item] I submitted this to the ‘Sussex Artists’ exhibition in the Brighton Art Gallery – an annual affair in which our masters and all the notables in the area were hung … They were accepted.”
