Information about the Print
Ted Owen was a student of silversmithing at Brighton Art School.
He spent much time practising the clarinet around the college.
In his Autobiography Blaker wrote
“I made several etchings of him
with or without the clarinet and had been a regular fan at the
Burgess Hill Jazz Club Tuesday evenings when he played there regularly.”
By the early 1960’s Owen had his own Excelsior Jazz Band. |
