Information about the Print
Temple Bar Memorial on a rainy day.
The monument marks where Wren’s Temple Bar, the ceremonial entrance to the City from Westminster, used to stand, where Fleet Street takes over from the Strand.
The rampant ‘griffin’ (as it is traditionally known) is really a dragon, the symbol of the City of London.
