Sketched on a walk a few kilometres to the south of Knossos.
Through
the 1980’s Jeff made regular summer visits to Crete as archaeological draughtsman to the British School of Athens’ digs at Knossos.
It
was the experience of visiting and working in
Crete that brought him back to etching as a technique
and to landscape and still life as subjects. |
