Information about the Print
For printing, the bare etched plate was first painted with blue oil-based ink and an impression taken on dampened paper.
The
plate was cleaned, inked with brown oil colour
and wiped as usual for an intaglio etching and
then printed, in registration, over the still
damp blue impression.
