Information about the Print
Printed in two stages from the same linear etched plate as the preceding item.
First
the etched plate is ‘inked’ up by painting its
surface with oil colours, and printed. The plate
is then cleaned and re-inked with black ink and
wiped to get it into the intaglio lines for overprinting
the coloured impression while the paper is still
damp. |
