Information about the Print
An impression was exhibited at Colnaghi in Etchings by Isabel Codrington, June 1933.
Provenance:
The artist’s estate and by descent to her grandson.
The trees frame a view to a Palladian country house, which it is tempting to think might be Wistler’s Wood, but that was a mock Tudor mansion, and the house in the etching is more reminiscent of Claremont House in Surrey.
