Exhibited at the R.E. 1906.

A waterfall in Langdale. Holroyd greatly enjoyed walking in the Lake District and the subjects of his plates of the Lakeland are usually of remote places only reachable on foot.

Provenance: by descent from the artist to his widow Lady Holroyd; to their son Michael; to Michael’s godson.
