Information about the Artist
Hunt was a linen draper in Yarmouth, a marine watercolour artist, etcher and early photographer.
After he retired early from business he devoted himself entirely to the practice of art.
In the 1871 Census he is recorded as a water colour painter and tutor.
He instructed Thomas Damant Eaton who was instrumental in founding the Norwich Photographic Society, one of the earliest in the country.
He is noted as having etched ‘after Rembrandt’. |
