St Botolph’s Bridge (No.2)
Comstock 56 iv/iv
253 x 200 mm

Etching, 1936-37. The plate initialled and dated. The impression signed in pencil. Final state, second edition, with the previously blank diagonal corners of the octagonal subject in the first edition etched over (at the suggestion of the American etcher John Taylor Arms) to create a rectangular image. Comstock does not specify either edition size. On laid paper, with narrow margins on three sides, presumably as printed.
