Information about the Print
Harold
Wollvine Dickins, Walcot's
publisher up to 1924-1925, listed only five prints
in the New York ‘set’ . This
image could be either a proposed sixth plate, or
an independent plate. Though printed on Dickins-watermarked
paper, it is not listed by Dickins.
But
the Dickins list stops in 1924 and there was
obviously a break-up of their business relationship
in this year. Walcot had another exhibition at
the Fine Arts Society and his etchings from 1925
to 1929 were published by the FAS.
