Information about the Print
This
impression is printed from the same linear etched
plate as the preceding item, in two printings.
First
the plate was inked up by painting its surface
with oil colours, and printed. The plate was
then cleaned and re-inked with black ink and
wiped to get it into the intaglio lines for printing
the linear design over the coloured impression
while the paper is still damp. |
