Additional Information about the Print

Lingmoor Fell divides the Lake District valleys of Great Langdale and Little Langdale. Holroyd greatly enjoyed walking in the Lake District and the subjects of his plates of the Lakeland are usually of remote places only reachable on foot.

Provenance: by descent from the artist to his widow Lady Holroyd; to their son Michael; to Michael’s godson.
