Additional
Information about the Print
The
second plate of the abandoned proposed series
of Wiltshire country labours.
The landscape
derives from Weavern and Slaughterford, where
Tanner used to watch a hedger at work. The church
owes something to Colerne.
The
introductory text to the Samuel
Palmer Legacy exhibition includes further
information about Robin
Tanner.
